Edinburgh Rock Whisky (10cl miniature)
The challenge here was to produce Edinburgh Castle on
a glass bottle!
From early on the difficulties lay in transposing various photographs into a three-dimensional glass bottle. By
making up a model I attempted to bring together the key aspects of the castle into the shape of a bottle capable of being manufactured on a conventional glass-forming
At just 10cl a major problem was producing familiar shapes and profiles in miniature which meant fully understanding the limitations of the glass and mould making process. The use of textures to differentiate different areas of the castle
and its surroundings helped to bring more realism to the finished bottle.
